Next Step Remembers the Legacy of Residential Schools
Posted on September 29th, 2017
Next Step students are taking action today to remember the legacy of our First Nation Peoples and the residential schools that deeply impacted the lives of so many. Today we will be sharing Three Sisters Soup and bannock, and visiting Elk Island National Park for land-based education activities.
Orange Shirt Day is also an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come. Learn more at www.orangeshirtday.org.
